You can’t win an argument! You can only avoid it.

I was reading through one of my old diaries and found these valuable thoughts over the argument & how to avoid it written by Dale Carnegie in his all-time best-selling book “How to Win Friends & Influence People”

• You can’t win an Argument. you cant. because, if you lose it, you lose it; and if you win it, you lose it.
• Hatred is never ended by hatred, but by love.
• The only way to get the best out of an argument is to avoid it.

How to avoid arguments.

1. Welcome disagreement.
2. Distrust your first instinctive impression.
3. Control your temper.
4. Listen first. Give opponents a chance to talk.
5. Look for areas of agreement.
6. Be honest.
7. Promise to think over your opponent’s ideas and study them carefully.
8. Thank your opponents sincerely for their interest.
9. Postpone action to give both sides time to think through the problem.
